Review: Firefly Lane (spoiler free)

Firefly Lane is a Netflix adaption of the novel with the same name written by Kristin Hannah.

It is about childhood friends Kate and Tully who have very different home lives and personalities but are still very close friends. It follows 3 timelines of their lives and friendship earliest being them as teens in the 70s, them as twenty somethings at their first job in the 80s and their current life in 2003.

At first the cuts between the different timelines were a bit jarring and confusing but after the first episode I got used to it and I do enjoy seeing their lives at different points in time and putting the pieces together as the season continued. The characters could be seen as cliche but the twists and turns of the story makes a compelling series.
