Curiosity Behind the Scenes

Lately we have been getting a lot of questions asking about the website behind the scenes, so we decided why not answer some of them. We haven’t been doing this for too long so there is probably better advice from others that have been doing this a lot longer, however we are going to share our knowledge for those who were curious or interested in making your own website.

• The platform we use for our website is WordPress which is a free open-source content management system. It is not as complicated as it sounds in fact it is really user friendly and I would recommend it. It offers plenty of designs for your website that comes in different forms for example there is designs for online stores, news or magazines. WordPress makes blogging easier for us as bloggers and for you guys as readers.

• For our thumbnails we use is an app called Pic Collage, I really enjoy this app it allows for a lot of customization and makes creating exciting thumbnails to invite your readers. (This isn’t sponsored I just enjoy the app and would recommend it to others.)
  • Randomly you can definitely see the evolution of our thumbnails, in the beginning our colours were more light blue opposed to the turquoise. Now our thumbnails are lot more cohesive.

• A question I see coming up a lot, where do you get your information or sources? It varies on the type of post most of the time it is based on personal opinions or experiences. However posts such as our interesting facts we get from multiple internet sources/searches and encyclopedias. We try our best to make sure that our information is correct however it is possible that we make mistakes.

I hope this information was helpful, we do plan on doing more of these types of posts explaining different things if there is something about blogging that you would like to know we will try do our best to explain. Reminder we are still new to this and we are no way claiming that these are the best platforms! If you have a website I would love to learn about the platforms you use.
