Let’s Discuss: Origin of Santa

Before I get into the article we would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas. We hope you and your families stay safe and have a very festive day!

We are all aware of the jolly old man that wears red and delivers presents across the world. However do you know the origin of Santa Claus? Well do not stress as we at Curiosity got you covered.

Santa Claus was based of a real person named Saint Nicholas, who lived in Turkey in 0343. He was a Christian Bishop who provided for the poor and sickly. His parents died when he was a young man, and he used his inheritance to help those in need. His actions were not swept under the rug in fact their were multiple stories about his actions, they were even described as miracle stories. He became the protector of sailors and children which was associated with gift giving hence why Santa brings us gifts every year.

Santa Claus has had many transformations through the ages however his original form was a real man named Saint Nicholas. I think there’s much to learn from his actions I think more then ever we can get caught up in our own lives we forget to help those around us. Remember one small act of kindness can form a chain reaction of kindness.

Once again Merry Christmas and if you dont celebrate Christmas I hope you have a fantastic day!
