Generation Stereotypes: Baby Boomers

In a series of posts we are going to be exploring the stereotypes of the generations, discussing traits and how society views the generation in discussion. The first post is about baby boomers, the generation born in 1946 to 1964.

Reminder these are not facts and in fact generalizations and stereotypes therefore I am in no way claiming that this is fact.

Their positive traits are heavily related to a work environment, this includes them having strong work ethics. Boomers are also self-assured, resourceful and mentally focused. This is what made them the most wealthiest generation with the most disposable income for food,apparel and retirement plans.

Their negative traits are that they struggle in modern society due to difficulties with technology and change in society views specially gender roles that were heavily cemented into their lives.

Societies view on boomers are kind of negative, because they have “struggles” (stereotype) with modern society this makes them more judgmental towards the youth that are more in tune with modern society that is where the meme Okay Boomer came from.
