Boredom Busters: TV shows to Binge

As we all are staying at home you probably found yourself getting bored not knowing what to do, well we have decided to make a series of posts called Boredom Busters which is a list of some things that can keep you entertained during this stressful time. Feel free to suggest some TV shows in the comments!

Here’s a list of some binge-worthy shows:

  • Drama:
  • Gossip Girl– Gossip Girl, a ruthless and mysterious blogger reveals secrets about teens in upper east side New York. You can watch this show on Netflix.
  • Dynasty (2017)– The show follows the rich Carrington Family and there lives are filled with twists and turns. You can watch it on Netflix.
  • Pretty Little Liars– The series follows the lives of four high school girls whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their leader.You can watch it on Netflix.
  • 13 Reasons Why (trigger warning)- It is the story of a young high school student as she descends into despair brought on by betrayal and bullying, culminating with her suicide. You can watch it on Netflix.
  • Fosters– It follows the lives of the members of the Foster family led by lesbian couple Stef and Lena, a cop and school vice principal respectively, who raise one biological and four adopted children. You can watch it on Hulu and Amazon Prime.
  • Super Hero:
  • Arrow- follows billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, who claimed to have spent five years shipwrecked on Lian Yu, a mysterious island in the North China Sea, before returning home to Starling City to fight crime and corruption as a secret vigilante whose weapon of choice is a bow. You can watch it on Netflix.
  • Supergirl– based on the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El, Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. You can watch it on Netflix.
  • Flash–  based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / Flash, a costumed superhero crime-fighter with the power to move at superhuman speeds. You can watch it on Netflix.
  • Marvel Runaways– Six teenagers from different backgrounds unite against a common enemy – their criminal parents, who collectively run an organization called Pride. You can watch it on Showmax and Hulu.
  • Feel Good:
  • Sweet Magnolias– Follows three best friends since childhood, as they shepherd each other through the complexities of romance, career, and family. You can watch this on Netflix.
  • Anne with an E– Coming-of-age story about an outsider who fights for acceptance, for her place in the world and for love. You can watch it on Netflix.
  • When Calls the Heart– tells the story of Elizabeth Thatcher, a young teacher accustomed to her high-society life. She receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coal-mining town. You can watch it on Netflix.
  • Good Witch– The series follows the residents of Middleton, including Cassie and her daughter Grace as they welcome Dr. Sam Radford and his son to town. Cassie and Grace share a gift of enchanted insight and magical intuition. You can watch it on Netflix and Showmax.
  • Sci-Fi / Supernatural:
  • Eureka– Sheriff Jack Carter stumbles into the town Eureka, a town filled with geniuses where scientific malfunctions often occurs.You can watch it on Amazon Prime.
  • Vampire Diaries–  Creatures of unspeakable horror lurk beneath this town as a teenage girl is suddenly torn between two vampire brothers. You can watch it on Netflix. (vampire diaries also has spin offs to check out to)
  • Supernatural– follows 2 brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, as they cross the country hunting supernatural beings with the help of their Angel friend. You can watch this on US Netflix.

  • Avatar the Last Airbender– In a war-torn world of elemental magic, a young boy reawakens to undertake a dangerous mystic quest to fulfill his destiny as the Avatar, and bring peace to the world. You can watch this show on US Netflix, Showmax.
  • Kipo the Age of Wonderbeasts –  follows a girl called Kipo Oak, who is searching for her father after being forced to flee from her underground burrow, and must explore the post-apocalyptic surface world ruled by mutated animals to find him. You can watch it on Netflix.
  • Dragon Prince– An extraordinary discovery inspires two human princes and an elven assassin to team up on an epic quest to bring peace to their warring lands. You can watch it on Netflix.
  • live action:
  • Cursed– reimagining Arthurian legends, has a lot on its plate. A coming-of-age tale following a young Nimue, aka the Lady of the Lake. You can watch it on Netflix.
  • Musical: Glee High School glee club, the New Directions, which competes on the show choir competition circuit while its disparate members deal with social issues, especially regarding sexuality, race, relationships, and teamwork. You can watch it on Netflix and showmax.
